Who wouldn't want a strong, colorful accent in their garden that catches the eye? As we know, castor beans can be grown both as individual plants and as elements of compositions in plant groups. They can be planted in a permanent place in the garden or grown in large pots. (Potted plants can be moved to change the composition of the garden... ;) )
I'll whisper that it can also be a very good Christmas gift for a gardener! ;) Therefore, as usual, I offer freshly harvested (shelled), this year's seeds
of various castor bean varieties and hybrids for purchase.
This last season (summer 2025) was not particularly favorable, so many, as I've heard, did not manage to collect enough seeds from their castor beans. I know that some plants didn't even start flowering... This means that seedlings should be started earlier and plants should be carefully fertilized to achieve beautiful inflorescences and seeds. š
So, the mix this year may contain the usual varieties: New Zealand, New Zealand Purple, Carmencita Red, Carmencita Pink, Blue Buddha, Zanzibariensis, and various Gibsoni hybrid seeds.
