It's a summery day in Riga. Ten completely different people - representatives of various ages, social strata, and professions - each going about their own business, end up in a skyscraper complex in Pārdaugava, unaware that soon they will find themselves not where they intended.

What exactly? We won't reveal that, but this modest elevator ride is precisely what will make some of the story's characters learn the difficult art of cooperation, another find love, and yet another understand themselves.

What, you say, and all this happens in an elevator? Not quite, but the explanation for what happens will be for each reader to find on their own... Meldra Vītola (1985) was born in Cēsis and raised in Riga. She considers literature and travel the greatest passions of her life. She reads all kinds of books because, according to her, good reading material has no genre. She is fascinated by the cultures of world nations, psychology, and questions about equality between women and men.

In the novel "Elevator to Nowhere," the author invites the reader to pause and reflect on the stops of their life so far.
