Dried porcini mushrooms retain all the rich, woody flavor notes and are an excellent addition to soups, stews, sauces, and meat dishes. Before use, soak the porcini mushrooms in warm water for 5–10 minutes to bring them close to the texture of fresh mushrooms. Store in a dry place.
