New! Unused. In excellent condition. The latest book by folk costume master and founder of Senā klēts, Maruta Grasmane, is dedicated to Latvian ethnographic mittens. In her extensive research work, the author selected 177 mittens from the collections of the Latvian National History Museum, Liepāja Museum, and the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, dating from the 18th century to the early 20th century, which best represent the mitten knitting traditions of various Latvian regions. The mitten patterns and technical drawings published in the book allow readers to explore Latvian mitten-making traditions and designs, as well as inspire them to create their own handicrafts.
